Michael McCorkle
Founder, Author, Podcaster, Speaker, Consultant
Mike McCorkle spent over 30 years in Christian ministry including eighteen years in various pastoral roles, and thirteen years in Christian Camp and Conference Center leadership.
In between ministry roles and since serving in his last camping position, Mike has utilized his skills in the trades where he has had his own remodeling business and worked in a variety of roles from handyman to custom home project management.
Mike graduated from George Fox University with a B.S. in Psychology. He is also a certified trainer in the DiSC Personal Profile System. Mike has spent over 1000 hours speaking to groups from small to large and trained hundreds of individuals in practical tools for leadership and life management.
Married to his wife for over forty years, he has two children and two granddaughters.
Through his leadership roles, Mike has developed broad skills and knowledge regarding organizational and people change. Beginning with his undergraduate studies in psychology, over thirty years of experience, and personal development, he has studied systemic change, trends, and patterns on a spiritual, relational, personal, and organizational level. It is this view that he has brought together in his writing and speaking.

He seeks to understand how change occurs and whether this increasingly wobbly world can change its perilous trajectory.
Mike is an avid reader and analytical thinker who wants to understand the "why" behind everything. Even though the "Why?" question doesn't always have an answer, Mike has come to some deep convictions on the why questions of life. He openly admits he doesn't like the answer often, but sometimes just having a piece of knowledge can foster peace of mind. Mike's pursuit of "why" started when he was a young man and has continued throughout his life. He got in trouble with his seventh-grade science teacher by asking, "why" too many times.
As an organizational consultant, Mike uses his understanding of change management to assess an organization, help them create a plan for the future, and understand what the costs will be in executing that plan and achieving organizational goals. It is generally the costs or fears of change that prevent organizations and individuals from moving forward toward their goals.
While some consultants will help organizations create lofty plans, they do not help the organizations to honestly prepare for the cost of the changes they need to make. As a result, when those costs become evident, the organizational change process falters and the status quo continues until hardship of some magnitude occurs. Mike works to lay the groundwork for success through this transparent approach.
